Little Dancers Program
At Newcastle Ballet Theatre, we believe in nurturing young dancers from the very beginning. Our Little Dancers Program is specially designed for boys and girls to explore their creativity through movement. Through this program, little ones will not only build coordination and enhance fine motor skills but also gain confidence and make new friends in a friendly and encouraging environment.
With a variety of beautiful music to inspire them, the young dancers will have the opportunity to develop their own unique style and discover the joy of self-expression. Join us at Newcastle Ballet Theatre and let your child's dance journey begin!

Browse Our Classes
While the main focus of all these classes is ballet, they also include creative movement and we have now introduced a new Jazz class.
Our little dancers begin to learn correct ballet technique cleverly coordinated, with the use of props and beautiful ballet music. They also get to be creative, use their imaginations and have lots of fun.

Dance With Me
AGES: 18 MTHS – 2 YRS
This dance class is a great introduction to ballet for your little dancers with the comfort of still having their Mum, Dad, Grandparent, or Guardian with them. It is a perfect stepping stone to our Teeny Dancers class.

Teeny Dancers Ballet
AGES: 2 - 3 YRS
Step into the magical world of dance with our introductory class, where your little one will explore movement through creative play and engaging props while learning the fundamentals of ballet.

Class Information
Class Fees
With the exception of your free trial class, enrolment is always per term. Please contact us for a full listing of discounts offered on multiple class attendance.
All Classes - ½ hour class is $16.00
Combined Ballet & Jazz class - 1 hour $26.00
A 10% discount will also be given, on the 2nd ballet class, if more than one class is taken per week.
Term Dates
We follow the NSW public school terms and holidays.
Term 1: 30th Jan – 13th Apr (11 weeks)
Term 2: 29th Apr – 6th Jul (10 weeks)
Term 3: 22nd Jul – 28th Sep (10 weeks)
Term 4: 14th Oct – 12th Dec (9 weeks)
End of Year Concert 2024: Saturday 10th November

We understand it is hard to know where to start, that is why we offer a free trial class for all new students.

Uniform Requirements
Our NBT dance uniform provides a sense of belonging to our dance community and our dance family.
All uniforms are available from NBT and Danse Boutique at any time throughout the year.

Want to know more about our classes? Here are some answers to questions we get asked regularly.

Your child can wear any existing dancewear they have in their wardrobe. If they don't have any, clothing that's easy to move in is perfect.

Absolutely! We welcome students at any time and will pro-rata their term-pass fee from the date they join.

It is good to arrive at least 5 minutes before class so that your dancer is settled and does not feel rushed.

Please bring a water bottle for your child, with their name clearly labelled. It is a strictly no food policy within the studio.
